The pre-wedding consultation
Generally scheduled between 16 to 4 weeks before your wedding. Usually, by that time, the time table is confirmed and most, if not all, details are available, and also the exchanged information during the consultation will not be forgotten.
I meet couples to discuss wedding details most nights of the week after 6:30pm and on selected Fri/Sat/Sun days if those days are free. To help busy couples, weeknight visits can be as late as you want.
If you have a busy lifestyle and don’t have the time to meet, we can have a chat over the phone and organise the details then.
The pre-wedding photography
Usually scheduled as a weekday session, the pre-wedding photo session (also known as Engagement Photography) is informal and fun photoshoot. It usually lasts a few hours and happens in a local park, in an urban location, or at any other place of your choice (depending on your location, some travelling expenses may apply). While there, we will try out some different styles of fun and artistic photography of yourselves as a couple.
Most couples choose an pre-wedding photo session to provide them with some beautiful and fun photographs to print, as a couple during their engagement, to better understand the styles of photography they would like on their wedding day and to increase their comfort level in front of the camera before their wedding day.
The wedding
On your wedding day I’ll turn up much earlier than I need to (there’s nothing worse than being in a mad rush!) and keep myself busy with candids and detail shots until we are ready to get rolling.
My approach to wedding photography is that of a storyteller. There is no single name which would describe my style, rather it’s a mixture of different styles. You won’t find me bossing you or your guests around. Instead, I prefer to be unobtrusive, capturing your day as it unfolds rather then directing it. That said, a bit of fun photography, which is normally a little set up, usually happens.
